Scarborough’s seafront bus service

Our Open Top buses run along Scarborough’s seafront daily throughout the spring and summer - and through to November 3rd!

The best way to see the wonderful sights of Scarborough’s seafront is to jump on one of our Open Top buses. There’s no need to pre-book your seat; once you’ve purchased your ticket, you can hop onto one of our Open Toppers at any bus stop on the seafront.

Take a look at the calendar to see what timetable we’re running to, and save time at the seaside by buying one of our great value day tickets in advance online.

A family day ticket costs just £10, and allows up to two adults and two children to travel all day on Open Top bus route 109 (which runs every day) and the Scarborough Skipper (which runs on weekends and during the school holidays until 29th September 2019).

You can also get an adult day ticket for just £4.50, and children (under 16) and concessionary bus pass holders pay £3.00 for all day travel. Don’t forget that children under five years of age travel for free on all East Yorkshire buses.

If you’re looking to travel a little bit further afield, consider our Coaster ticket (£9.50 for all day travel). Coaster tickets are valid on:

  • Buses between Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough.

  • Our Summer open top buses in Scarborough, Bridlington and Flamborough.

  • Our town buses within Scarborough, and Bridlington, including buses to Flamborough.

One child travels for free with a Coaster ticket holder.

All of these great value day tickets can be purchased online, saving you time at the seaside. Download PDF E-Tickets and scan them on the bus - no need to carry cash or look after a paper ticket.
